I Love You Nana…

Early this morning, one of the most gifted and amazing women that I have ever known decided it was time to sing with the angels.  Not only was my Nana an amazing woman, but she was a role model for me as a single parent.  She had been single since my mother was 7 years old, not because she lost her husband…but because she wanted to be single.  Not many black women were running around divorcing their husbands in the 40′s…it just wasn’t done.

nana 1 I Love You Nana...

She taught me many beauty secrets, gave me infinite amounts of wisdom on varying subjects and taught me tolerance.  I know she is up in heaven right now polishing the pearly gates (she hated clutter…) and making everyone laugh.  Although I miss her terribly already, I know that she is still with me…

Stay Pretty…

first of all god bless you and your family. I cant imagine how it was for you losing your nana, if i lost mine i don’t know what i would do. but just say in your prayers to god thank you for giving me the best nana for me and tell him thank you for that and the memories. Because life is hard, you either don’t meet your nana or she dies before you can remember or you do meet your nana and get the memories but then it’s to hard to let go both are hard but thats life. Just remember to talk to your nana and tell god thanks for her and the memories. God bless you!-hailey
