Sneak Peek: Spring 2008 NARS Shanghai Lily Collection…

nars shanghai Sneak Peek: Spring 2008 NARS Shanghai Lily Collection...

Goodness, these Spring collections are just popping up everywhere now!  My latest favorite that I love is NARS Shanghai Lily.  Doesn’t she look like a 30′s screen siren in that shot??  Lots and lots of drama with this one…the colors are amazing and they have included my beloved Multiple in Orgasm…oh lalala!!

Now what is crazy is that the details of the collection are different on Sephora’s website than they are on the NARS website!  My buddy Kristen pointed this out the other day and I too am baffled…why are they different??

The Rundown:

(according to Sephora)

  • Alhambra Duo Eyeshadow Metallic rose mist and golden champagne
  • Abyssinia Single Eyeshadow Delicate Pearl Sheen
  • Success Lipstick Burnt sienna
  • Manhunt Lipstick Sheer poppy red
  • Dolce Vita Lip Gloss Dusty rose
  • Greek Holiday Lip Gloss Sparkling Pink Sand
  • Belle de Jour Velvet Matte Lip Pencil Nude Beige
  • Orgasm The Multiple Peachy Pink with Shimmer

and NARS.com

  • Duo Eye Shadow in Alhambra (metallic rose mist and golden champagne)
  • The Multiple in Orgasm (peachy pink)
  • Single Eye Shadow in Abyssinia (delicate pearl sheen)
  • Lipstick in Success (semi-matte burnt sienna)
  • Lipstick in Manhunt (sheer poppy red)
  • Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Belle du Jour (sheer beige)
  • Lip Gloss/Lip Stain in Stolen Kisses/Pampa (sparkling caramel pink and shimmery nutmeg)
  • Lip Gloss in Greek Holiday (sparkling pink sand)
  • Lip Gloss in Dolce Vita (sheer dusty rose)

What is the deal??  Did they not talk to each other??  At any rate – I saw it in Sephora and fell in love with that Revolt lip gloss which NARS.com doesn’t even list (strange…)  It does seem like they are two completely different collections with just a few similarities.  Which is bugging me because is one limited edition and the other one not – Or what??  Which one do you like better??

Stay Pretty!!

Sephora likes to have exclusives, hence the differences.

Yeah H – I know that…but it’s just frustrating when you think you are getting the whole collection in one place only to find out there are other items in another. Especially when they don’t announce it or let you know why there are differences.
