NYFW: Alexandre Herchcovitch Fall 2009…

Backstage at Alexandre Herchcovitch was busy busy busy! The key makeup artist was Philippe Chansel from MAC and he kept everything fresh and clean.  The big trend that I am seeing emerge for Fall 2009 is fresh soft makeup that looks like your skin.  Nothing heavy….very sheered out.  Here, Philippe used MAC’s latest foundation Studio Sculpt sheered out with MAC mixing medium.  You can do the same thing at home by using your favorite moisturizer and applying the mixture with a foundation brush.  Makeup artist Victoria Stiles did the interpretation that you see below….

Victoria gave me the rundown on what they used.  Regardless of the model’s skin color they used Redhead Skinfinish (which is like a bronzer), brownsculpt shadow and softwood lipliner and just lip conditioner to finish it off.

Hair stylist Anthony Campbell created a beautiful textured french braid across the back of the head no matter the length of  the hair.
