Get The Look: Katie Holmes Hosts the Independent Filmmaker Project 30th Anniversary in New York…

Say what you want about Mrs. Cruise, but she has made the most amazing style transformation I have seen in years.  She went from a wavy long haired girl next door type to a sleek and stunning fashionista with a clothing line no less!  Ahh the power of Tom Cruise.  At any rate, Katie hosted 30th anniversary bash for the Independent Filmmaker’s Project, sponsored by Swarovski, at the Cooper Square Hotel on Sunday night and looked stunning from her makeup to the clothes and simple accessories.

You may not think of Katie as being affiliated with Independent films but WWD reports, “I love all kinds of movies,” said Holmes, who actually has a few indie projects under her belt, including the dark comedy “Pieces of April.” Her flowy ensemble was from Alexander McQueen which Holmes said was, “Nice and cool for a hot day.”
