Rewind: Queen Helene Mint Julep Facial Masque (Mask)…

300 Rewind: Queen Helene Mint Julep Facial Masque (Mask)...As the weather gets warmer, my skin gets a little oilier. Especially around my nose…one of the first beauty products I used when I was 9 was Queen Helene’s Mint Julep Masque. When we lived in Los Angeles, every Saturday, my sister and I would go over to my Nana’s house. She would make us hors d’oeuvres, and we would get to watch Carol Burnett or The Sonny & Cher show in her bed swathed in tangerine satin sheets. We also got to do a mask or some other beauty treatment..the Queen Helene Masque was one of these treatments.

This mask is excellent if you have skin that is on the oily side AND as a spot treatment for those pesky pimple that just show up uninvited. The mask itself is a light minty green shade tingles at first but leaves your face feeling super clean afterwards. Leave it on for 15 minutes and rinse with warm water. If you are finding that it is too drying for your skin, I would use it as a spot treatment on acne prone areas of your face.

Queen Helene’s Mint Julep Masque is a total steal at around $4 for a giant 8oz tube, it is available at major drugstore retailers nationwide or drugstore.com

Love the tingle this gives me. I actually just got rid of one the other day because it was all dried up.
