I see so many products on a daily basis but there are some that STAY in my permanent collection. A permanent spot in the old medicine cabinet. One such product is MAC’s Strobe Cream. Packed with green tea (a little caffeine is good for your complexion), this is an instant skin brightener that I use often mixed into my day cream. Once you put your makeup on (powder or foundation), this will sit quietly in the background giving you that subtle glow that isn’t overly shimmery.
Other uses I have discovered….
- Highlighter - I saw more than one makeup artist use this on the cheekbones and bridge of the nose as a highlighter during fashion week.
- Body Shimmer - Mix a little Strobe Cream with a body balm and rub on your arms and decollete for a pretty subtle shimmer that lasts. (Elizabeth Arden’s 8 hour cream works amazingly well).
- Under or with Makeup – Mix it in with your primer before your makeup or into your foundation for extra dewiness.
This is a really pretty look, especially in the summertime when you want that extra glow without looking like a disco ball. If you think the cream is too heavy, there is also a liquid version that can be used in the exact same ways I described.
