Drugstore Diva: Sunsilk Captivating Curls DeFrizz Line…

Well the first official weekend of summer is almost over….the pools are open and the temps are creeping up the thermometer.  I don’t know about you, but for me – that means wearing my hair natural a bit more often because of the humidity factor.  I try not to put as much heat on my hair in the summer and give it a rest, plus I am typically at the pool 3-4 times a week so why bother?  Yesterday, I used something new that will be my go to all summer long….Sunsilk Captivating Curls.  The line consists of:  shampoo, conditioner, cream gel (which does NOT flake off in your hair by the way!),  scrunching mousse and my FAVE the de-frizz leave in cream.

The line is formulated with soothing Aloe E, which is a unique blend of Aloe, Algae and Vitamin E that is super hydrating for your hair but at the same time doesn’t weigh it down.  My hair is super fine so I LOVE that!  What I liked the most about it is that my hair actually had softer looking and FEELING curls…the frizz factor was WAY down.  While it didn’t eliminate the frizzies altogether it certainly knocked them back to a manageable level and that is just fine with me!!  I would suggest using the shampoo/conditoner/styling product combo together for best results.

All products retail for under $4 each and can be found at major drugstore retailers, supermarkets and drugstore.com.

hm. i don't know. NONE of this stuff, from the drugstore or otherwise works on my hair. my hair in its natural state just won't wave up or curl. have some cute ponytail holders to recco? ; )

    Hey Danyel!

I would TRY the gel/curl cream (it's only $4) so if you hate it no big deal BUT I have also had great results with Miss Jessie's Curly Buttercream and Curly Pudding. I use the smallest amount of Buttercream though because my hair is so fine it gets weighed down. I use the Goody and Scuunci holders becaise they are ouchless and I love that LOL
