Argan oil has become increasingly popluar recently and Kiehl’s is on the front lines with their latest addition to it’s popular Argan collection. Kiehl’s Superbly Restorative Argan Body Cleansing Oil is a new favorite of mine. Much like most cleansing oils, this liquid gold emulsifies when mixed with water and foams in to a rich creamy lather. It is naturally fragranced with yummy Sweet Orange, Patchouli, Eucalyptus, and Cedarwood oils.
Argan oil is an oil produced from the kernels of the endemic argan tree, that is valued for its nutritive, cosmetic and numerous medicinal properties. The tree, a relict species from the Tertiary age, is extremely well adapted to drought and other environmentally difficult conditions of southwestern Morocco. The 100% organic Argan Oil used in this formula is naturally rich in antioxidants, poly-unsaturated fatty acids, including Tocopherols (Vitamin E), and Omega-6 and Omega-9 fatty acids, which are known for having restorative and protective properties on the skin. It has also been shown to help improve skin smoothness and suppleness.
