Beauty News: Estee Lauder To Close Prescriptives…

Wow…I am truly SO SAD right now. As many of you know, Prescriptives was one of the first cosmetic lines that hired and trained me as a custom blender back in the day. The message that was sent to Estée Lauder employees said, “After a thorough analysis of the Prescriptives brand, we have concluded that the brand’s long term business model is no longer viable in the current market environment. We believe that this decision will allow The Estée Lauder Companies to redirect and more sharply focus our resources to key strategic imperatives where we see the highest growth potential for our Company.” [BBB]

So here’s the skinny, you WILL be able to purchase your favorites through JANUARY 31, 2010 and until stock runs out in stores.  Then they will continue to sell via online until that stock runs out.  ALSO the cult fragrance Calyx will continue to be distributed through Aramis in select fine department stores and online beginning February 1, 2010.

So now is the time to show your support chickies….if you have a favorite buy as much as you can. If you are a custom blend gal, get your recipe and as many powders, foundations, bronzers, lipglosses, tinted moisturizers you can get your hands on. I know I will be…

All Skins Mineral Makeup This is the only thing that made me fall in love with the concept of mineral makeup.  Every brand I had used was too shimmery, too much mica.  I felt like a disco ball….until I was talked into this.  Smooth, flawless buildable coverage whether you need a lot or a little.
