Holiday 2009: Shiseido Rich Rocks Collection…

Back in September, I had the chance to attend an event showcasing Shiseido’s latest items from skincare to color at the posh Zola restaurant in DC.  The color collection is gawgus….and inspired by gemstones (there was a gemologist present who had us pick certain stones related to out personalities)  I also got a chance to check out their new Future Solution LX line, which was very interesting.  I got a hand facial and when I tell you that my hand looked different when they were done…..I mean it looked different. The skin was brighter and ultimately softer which is a great testimony to their skin care line.  If it can do that to my hand, imagine what it can do for your face!

The Rich Rocks Collection was masterminded by guru makeup artist Dick Page who is the Artistic Director for Shiseido.  He was inspired by the rich color and pure radiance of “unrefined rocks and crystals with their natural, savage beauty and mystical powers.

In this collection are three new shimmery rock and crystal inspired eye shadows:

  • BR618 Pyrite Sun Intense reddish copper “Inspired by the smooth, multi-dimensional striations of Pyrite.”
  • BL616 Blue Stone Deep inky blue “Created after an unidentified rock sample with a blue-black appearance, marbled with white. The last stop before black.”
  • SV817 Pyrite Crystal Rich, luminous silver “Designed after a rich Cubic Pyrite sample. Cool and warm collide in bright new silver.”

Also in this collection:

  • Perfect Mascara in Intense Teal (GR703) Lustrous green with a metallic gloss.
  • Smoothing Eyeliner Pencil in Golden Green (GR503) Burnished golden green.
  • Translucent Loose Powder loose powder perfect for all skin tones providing that “invisible” look.

The new Shiseido Holiday 2009 Rich Rocks Collection is currently available online at Nordstrom.
