Holiday 2009: Shu Uemura Wish Upon a Star…

This holiday season, shu uemura comes together with acclaimed fashion designer Tsumori Chisato for a very special makeup collection that embodies the inimitable spirit of Tokyo. “Wish Upon a Star” takes Chisato’s distinctive playful and charming
style with motifs of soft feminine beauty and adds them to shu uemura’s contemporary edge.

Chisato is known for her fantasy expression. Her designs are created in the spirit of innocence and freedom, revealing the girl in every woman.   Tsumori Chisato began her  career in 1977 working for Issey Miyake. She created her own line in 1990 and has built a following around the world. Her focus is on prints, which have a “healthy dose of manga/bohemian cuteness” according to Style.com.  shu uemura’s holiday packaging hails straight from the tsumori chisato 2009 runway collection.
