TMG Faves: MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural Face Powder…

I have never been a huge fan of mineral makeup in general. In theory, it sounds great…built in SPF, natural looking etc.  But my biggest problem with it is that it has always been TOO GLITTERY, SHIMMERY or whatever (that comes from too much mica)  Most brands if you don’t blend right…you look like a disco ball.  Sometimes it will just look like a “grey patch” on your face (too much product) or if you look in the mirror, tiny shimmers are just everywhere.  No thanks.  There are very few that get it right in my book and MAC is one brand that does.  Mineralize Skinfinish Natural is a natural looking, baked powder that gives you a “dimensional yet matte finish“.  PLUS…it comes in a compact, so no worries about getting too much product on your brush.  Perfect!!

Ever since this came out a few years back, it has been a staple for me as I prefer low coverage.  This gives me a nice even looking finish without looking like I have on a ton of makeup.  Since this is is a low coverage powder,  it can also be used to set makeup and will provide a nice finish that isn’t overly matte.
