TMG Project: A Look Inside the 2nd Bi-Annual NYFW Media Mixer…

In case you didn’t know, Paul Baranda of Beyond Beauty Basics and I have been throwing some parties [checkout the inaugural NYFW Media Mixer here].  Last fall, Paul and I joined forces to bring together our online media friends and a few beauty brands for a big “tweetup”.  Little did we know that it would grow as much as it has!!

This season, we also partnered with PR maven Christina Rice of Luxe Life Media to help us get some more “ooph”.  The event was held on Saturday February 13th at the amazing ION Salon and Studio in SoHo.   ION is a three-story loft that is airy and full of light.  Recycled plywood chairs, organic hair products, and wind-powered energy offsets are all part of the owners’ commitment to la vita verde.  We also managed to secure sponsorship from an amazing 12 beauty sponsors as well as  Candoni Wines who sponsored the cocktail of the evening the Secret Bold Berry BelliniCrave Catering provided the AMAZING food that the guests nibbled on.  It was so great to catch up with everyone, and put some names to faces we hadn’t met before.  Secret had a giveaway where party-goers placed their business cards in a fishbowl for a shot at winning the grand prize, $1,000 towards their fearless goal in life!  Awesome, right??  We had a BLAST and can’t wait to do it again in September.

Thank you to our AMAZING sponsors…
