One of the most unappreciated makeup lines around is Laura Mercier, but I have had my eye on her for over a decade. Her makeup line is very understated and classic with a few pops of serious color thrown in (I have been using her Secret Camouflage for years). If you were not aware, she has been around for minute. She has been painting as a fine artist since she was 17. She has been the personal makeup artist to Sarah Jessica Parker, Julia Roberts, and Juliette Binoche and most noteably Madonna. She also worked with Elizabeth Arden & Chanel among many others.
Her Polished collection lives by the statement, “The face for spring is polished, with pearlized contrasts. Eyes are soft in pale metallics with neutral browns while lips have a velvet finish accented with a glossy shine. The key is intermingling textures in matte and shine, flat and metallic.“ This collection includes 3 new Matte Eye Colour Duos, a new Lip Shine and 3 new Satin Lip Colours. I love a makeup line that can be glamourous and understated at the same time…
