Green Beauty: Lancôme Juicy Tubes 100% Natural Origin Lipgloss…

Happy almost Earth Day!  We love being as green as possible around here at The Makeup Girl.  In addition, we love to support products that give back.  One of those products, Lancôme’s Juicy Tubes is turning 10 (can you believe??)  Since their launch in 2000, Juicy Tubes have been in the top ten of lipglosses on the market every year, with a whopping 8.3 million tubes sold.  Everyone jacked their style, but there is definitely only one.  They were the first gloss to come packaged in squeeze tubes too!  So, to celebrate this beauty birthday, Lancôme has launched Juicy Tubes 100% Natural Origin, a limited-edition collection with honey as its main ingredient.

The formula, flavors and pigments are 100% natural origin and preservative-free. For Earth Day 2010, it was a natural fit to partner with Lancôme spokesmodel and environmentalist Elettra Wiedemann’s charity, Justonefrickinday.com. Its mission is to unify and concentrate available resources onto a small number of special charity projects around the world. By logging on its website, you can calculate and donate just one day of your daily pay to make a difference. The charity’s latest project will raise funds to help install Solar Electric Panels that will provide sustainable power to a hospital in one of world’s poorest countries, Burundi.

The Rundown:

  • Blushing Beauty
  • Pink Precious
  • Rose Pretty
  • Sheerfully Sweet
  • Bare Honey
  • Sweet Soy
  • Cherry Tree

Also, from April 22nd through April 25th, anyone who purchases Juicy Tubes 100% Natural Origin at the Lancôme Boutique on the Upper West Side in NYC will receive a complimentary limited edition tee. Lancôme will also make a donation to justonefrickinday.com to kick off this special Earth Day offering.

Limited-edition Juicy Tubes PURE is inspired by images in nature and the environmentally friendly carton is 100% recyclable material – which is a Lancôme first!

Find yours online at Lancome-usa.com or at Lancôme counters nationwide.

it's nice that Lancome is trying, but they still test their products and/or ingredients on animals, and in my opinion animals are about as green as you can get!!

    Hi Lisa,

I agree, but baby steps are important. Better than nothing at all, wouldn't you agree?

I’d think not testing on animals would be the first of the baby steps – especially considering that cheaper lines (aka some sold at Wal-Mart) aren’t tested on animals.
