Regular readers know that I have issues with my hair. Frizziness, lack of volume etc. So I do everything I can to make it straight BUT I don’t like it when my hair is super flat (I know, I know I have issues…LOL) So I need some volume! That being said, I have tried pretty much every volumizing product out there and my verdict is that some work really really well and some just don’t. So when I find something that really works I want to tell the world about it. Case in point, my friend Nadine Jolie told me about this new line of hair care called LiQWD and like EF Hutton, when Nadine talks……I listen. They have several formulas to choose from, but I wanted to check out the volumizing. First off, the packaging was amazing, I felt like I was opening an expensive gift (I felt bad throwing the boxes away so I have them on my shelf in the office!) The product itself was awesome, my hair was extra heavy from all the product I had used over the past few days (it has been terribly humid here) so the 1st shampoo was underwhelming, but the second one gave loads of creamy sudsy lather. The conditioner left my hair feeling soft BUT CLEAN and not weighed down. Blowdrying was a breeze and I did notice a lot less frizz….awesome HUGE plus for me! I only needed a minimal bit of flat ironing and I was done!
I checked out the Volumizing Shampoo ($32), Volumizing Conditioner ($32) and Professional Volumizing Catalyst ($28) which is a leave in spray. Now the line is definitely NOT cheap and I am all about being a Drugstore Diva whenever possible, BUT I honestly believe in some cases you get what you pay for. If lack of volume is a real issue for you, then I would definitely check this line out. What makes LiQWd so innovative?? They use a proprietary formula of what they call nano-hydraspheres that form a protective web around each and every strand. This helps to flatten the surface in such a way that it resembles the sleek, frizz-free, light-reflecting look of freshly flat-ironed hair but hair remains lightweight and lifted. In laymans terms, real see it to believe it volume, shine, sleekness and va-va- va vooom all rolled into one.
