I don’t “do” foundation makeup. I really don’t….foundation and me are not friends at all. It always looks super fake on me and I hate how it feels. That being said, I am super surprised and impressed with Stila’s latest, One Step Makeup Foundation. I am normally a tinted moisturizer type of gal. To tell you the truth, this kind of feels like one of those but it does oh so much more. This bottle may look like a normal bottle of foundation, but it is a super-hero in disguise.
In this tiny bottle is a primer, concealer, foundation and powder all in one. That’s right, you heard me, all in one…the formula is light with a mousse-like consistency and a silky smooth finish thanks to the addition of silicone. It’s hydrating yet oil-free and allows for buildable coverage that stays shine-free all day. I have been wearing this for the past week while I was in NYC, it went on in a snap and surprisingly I didn’t have to use any of my blotting papers ONCE all day. You will get medium to full coverage (but it felt like minimal which is super awesome!!)
Another thing that I was impressed by, was the shade range. While it’s not a super spectacularly diverse range there is one to match me (I have never been able to wear anything that Stila makes for face, ever) so that’s a step in the right direction! All of this and it is contains 100% mineral pigments, it’s a high definition worthy formula that’s paraben-free and fragrance-free too??!! Be still my heart….
Stila One Step Makeup is available in 8 shades and is available at Sephora stores nationwide and online at sephora.com and stilacosmetics.com for $44.
