Teen Beauty: L.A. Girlfriend Skincare…

I love hearing about skincare lines for teens that are  natural!  I found this little inexpensive skincare line based in California called L.A. Girlfriend, which is essentially an all natural non-drying, gentle yet effective skin care line.  It is developed specifically for teens and tweens with different skin types.  If your teen is unsure of their skin type – L.A. Girlfriend breaks it down for you with this handy guide.  Skincare is an all important routine to establish early on, you may remember that I suggested a few years back that if your child wants to start wearing makeup it’s a great idea to get her some skincare FIRST.

Two of the products that stand out for me are the Foaming Cleanser and the Moisture Mist but they have four basic items to the regime (blemish treatment & lip balm round out the collection).  The line is fairly inexpensive as far as skin care goes.  You can get the a la carte ($14-$20 each piece) or in a set for $49 (save yourself some cash and get the set) in “Hope” (normal/oily /problem) or “Dream” (normal/dry/sensitive).  This way all bases are covered….easy to use…very simple steps.  The biggest problem with teen skin is that they are always touching something crazy and they are always touching their faces.

Tips for Great Skin:

• Always wash your hands before you touch your face
• Always take off makeup before bed
• Use skincare religiously (twice daily if possible)
