Fashion Week: Get the Look: Egypt-Inspired Makeup by James Kaliardos for MAC Cosmetics at Preen S/S 2011…

Preen was the first pop of color around the eyes I got to see backstage early in the week! James Kaliardos created an ethereal and fun look for the S/S 2011 “inspired by Egypt…the colors of the sand.”

The face was prepped with MAC Face & Body Prep+Prime Transparent Finishing Powder $22.00. Give-Me-Sun! Mineralized Skinfinish Bronzer (available 2011) was used to give the girls a glowy look and was followed up with MAC Pearl Cream Colour Base $16.50 to highlight the cheekbones.

My favorite part of the look was the ubergorgeous MAC Creamshadow Quad in Lite Brite (available 2011) (need to get my hands on that one…stat!) that was used to accent the inner corners of the eyes. MAC Swell Baby Shadow (available 2011) was drawn into the crease to define.  The eyes were rimmed with NC15/NW20 Chromagraphic Pencil (available at MAC Pro) and the lashes were curled, but left bare.

The look was finished by pressing MAC Super Kissable Lipcolor (available 2011) into the lips, which were left matte.

Reporting (back) from the runways,

Xoxo, Erika
