The best trends that are coming down the runway are ones that you can assimilate into your life with little or no effort. Case in point, this smokin’, understated look from Maybelline New York’s makeup artist Andy Koh. This look is super easy to get at home and has more of a natural fresh skin feel than most runway looks.
“The makeup look at Vivienne Tam is inspired by the beauty of a Japanese zen garden,” said Maybelline New York Makeup Artist Andy Koh. “The skin is clean and natural, while the lashes are long and curled. Metallic eyes and lips give this look a modern 70s vibe.”
The Rundown:
- Fit Me! Foundation™: Andy used two different shades of this perfecting foundation to create flattering contours and angles. He used a light shade to focus on the T-zone area and a deeper shade around the outer edges of the face.
- Eye Studio Color Explosion Luminizing Eyeshadow™ in Forest Fury: Inspired by a 1970s metallic eye, Andy applied the gold and green shadows from this palette to the upper eyelid.
- Eye Studio Color Plush Silk Eyeshadow™ in Irresistible Ivy: Andy applied this palette’s copper shade to the upper crease. He also applied the copper shade to the outer corner of the lower lid to create a “glowy” effect.
- Volum’ Express The Falsies Waterproof Mascara™ in Black Drama: Andy used this dramatic mascara on top and bottom lashes to create long, thick, 70s-inspired eyelashes.
- Color Sensational High Shine Lipcolor™ in Coral Luster: Andy applied this sumptuous lipstick to add color and shine to the lips. He finished the look with Shine Sensational Lip Gloss in Minty Sheer.
