If you know anything about me, you know that I LOVE Shea Butter. This multi-use product has been proven to have anti-inflammatory, emollient and humectant properties and featured in many a beauty product over the years. Much to my delight, beauty editor and Beauty Bets Blogger Elizabeth Dehn has developed a collection of naturally luxe skin care called By Elizabeth Dehn including a MAHVELOUS Shea Cream that I just cannot put down!
This time of year, my skin gets SUPER dry and shea butter (naturally packed with good for your skin vitamin A) is usually the only thing that can save it. This particular shea cream can be used on the face (I have been using it everywhere, even my body!) Since it contains no water and no filter, the cream has the texture of a light creamy salve. It is slightly on the heavy side so I would use this at night if you are not a fan of the dewy look. It has a light scent that isn’t overpowering at all. It also naturally aids in healing acne, eczema, skin allergies, sunburn, and chapped skin. This cream is PERFECT for dry, aging, sensitive, or blemish-prone skin AND especially if you live in a seriously colder climate.
A miracle moisturizer, this velvety soft cream instantly replenishes and restores skin without clogging pores. Rich in Vitamin A, shea butter helps reverse sun damage, diminishes fine lines and wrinkles, and protects against free radicals. Rosehip Seed Oil rebuilds collagen and elasticity while Calendula calms irritation. Warm a small amount in your hands then gently press into skin. Heaven!
Elizabeth’s FABULOUS spa like line can be found on her website AND in a few shops/spas in Illinois and Minnesota. She also has the COOLEST DIY Day beauty product section on her blog (I have used the sea salt spray recipe before!) and her coolness hasn’t stopped there as she has a Pumpkin Pie Spice Milk Bath recipe that will leave your skin soft and your bathroom smelling like the fabulous scents of fall.
