I have used shower gel for years and after buying countless bottles of scents like spring refresh, island paradise I finally decided that spending close to five dollars for shower gel was enough. While grocery shopping I decided to switch things up and go back to the original..soap. Easy and affordable…soap lasts longer than pricey shower gel and costs much less. Besides the organic bars you can find at grocers like Whole Foods or the more specialized scents from Lush Cosmetics are super cool and smell great. The one that I swear by though is Dove Beauty Bars. The bars retail on average $2.98 – $3.97 for a set of two or a value pack of 6 for $6.00 – $15.00 depending on the retailer, yet it still amounts to great savings compared to shower gel.
After one use my skin is amazingly smooth and doesn’t dry out immediately, which is common during the winter months. I chose to test out the relaxing scent of shea butter; I love the rich lather of the beauty bar with a scent that immediately fills your shower.
The bars come in a variety of scents and textures and even ones specifically for men.
