There are countless advertisements claiming to have the best mascara on the market from the higher end to your neighborhood Target the beauty industry is on a mission to create the perfect mascara. As someone who has tried countless mascara’s from various brands I have experienced the good, the bad, and the expensive. Truthfully speaking there aren’t many brands that actually live up to the hype. Cosmetic companies make promises to extend, de-clump, and volumize your lashes, but when you buy the sometimes over priced little package….there isn’t much of a difference. Then sadly, you are left with just another mascara. After years of spending and throwing away countless dollars on mascara I have finally found three that actually work, and are affordable.
- Cover Girl Clump Crusher by Lashblast Recently launched, this powerful mascara provides the best of both worlds with no clump and extends your lashes. Retailing under 7 dollars, Cover Girl smartly curved brush along with multiple tiny bristles evenly distributes the mascara to lashes to increase volume. TMG editor Lianne Farbes has worn 5 coats of this at once with no clumps and crazy volume!
- L’Oreal Telescopic Shocking Extensions A flat two dimensional style makes this beauty blogger pick stand apart. I love how in only one application you start to see the results of this sleekly packaged product. The tiny bristles are only on two sides of the brush, instead of covering the entire brush like many other brands. L’Oreal mascara easily competes with my splurge favorite Dior, for under 10 dollars. You won’t regret making this part of your makeup bag
- Avon Super Extend Extreme FABULOUS for a cost below 6 dollars, Avon one of the original affordable cosmetics companies makes a mascara that looks natural and makes lashes look fringey. The brush applicator does tend to pick up some excess product; however once you edit the amount the application is pretty smooth requiring about two coats to get the full effect.
Finding the perfect mascara is almost like finding the fountain of youth, it may not exist. However with brands constantly improving their products it gives makeup lovers hope that one day we might just have….hopefully it will be fabulously affordable.
