TMG Faves: L’Oreal Preference Ombre Touch Haircolor…

I loove L’Oreal Preference Ombre Touch Haircolor [$9.99]!! I have been WANTING some summertime hair for a minute.  After I got my last professional ombre – my hair was pretty damaged, which led me to lopping off about 5 inches last month. I love the dimension that a few highlights give though….so when I saw this kit in the store it really made me go…”Hmmmmmmm….”  I went home and did some research….and read some reviews, ultimately I decided to take the plunge and I am SO GLAD I DID!! L'Oreal Paris Ombre Touch Before & After Of course with any hair color, you have to make sure that you condition it well, but there was something about this that feels less damaging than putting straight bleach on your hair.  They have different levels for different hair colors (light brown/blonde, medium brown and dark brown) and a conditioning shampoo for afterwards.  I followed up with a deep conditioning monoi mask by Eden Bodyworks for further softening.  But overall – I am SUPER impressed that I got these results at home in my bathroom.  Someone even asked me yesterday where i got my ombre done!  Me!  I did that hahaha.

The most glamorous hair color trend is now at your fingertips with new Superior Preference Ombré Touch. Lighten your overall look with gorgeous, delicate strands of color at your tips. It’s the new, sophisticated way to do highlights.

L'Oreal Paris Ombre Touch After

The Rundown:

  • Light Blonde to Light Brown
  • Light Brown to Medium Brown
  • Medium Brown to Dark Brown

This style adds luminosity and is ideal if you want to brighten up your look with something more subtle and delicate. It’s the new sophisticated way to do highlights. – Christophe Robin Master Colorist for L’Oréal Paris

The directions were simple to follow and I was just painting – more like the balayage technique where you do free hand lightening with small sections at a time.  This kit came with this little comb that you place on your finger to apply the color.  I concentrated mostly on the area around my face and did a few in back.  Now that I know how easy it is, I might do some more!  This is a great way to get a nice look at home without spending all your money at the salon.

L’Oreal Preference Ombre Touch Haircolor is available at big box stores, drugstores nationwide.
