Fall 2011: Bobbi Brown Marrakesh Chic…

One of my favorites, Bobbi Brown has a lovely new idea for fall, we are going to Marrakesh! She has introduced a new shadow dubbed Rich Color Shadow….a shadow that is highly pigmented but extremely wearable. I love how she gets inspiration from places that she visits….just super cool. Plus, I love a good pigmented shadow! There are also a few lip colors that are worth checking out as well, I will be grabbing the Pale Plum Creamy Lip Color myself…

A few years ago, Bobbi traveled to Morocco for a week-long bike tour, which took her from the Atlas Mountains to the coastal plains. Bobbi’s first stop was a marketplace in Marrakesh, where there was no short- age of color. Jars filled with saturated pigments, mounds of fabric in the most vibrant hues, burlap sacks of anise, cumin and turmeric spices, and antique woven kilim rugs in beautifully weathered colors overwhelmed the senses. Moved by the sights and smells, Bobbi returned home with endless inspiration for what is now the Fall 2011 Collection. Oh happy day! Bobbi Brown is making moves! I had heard it through the grapevine that she was doing something major with the glosses before the year was out and boy did she ever!! One of my most favorite topics EVER…concealer. Bobbi has always been good at this and the best part is her coverage COVERS but looks natural. So the reformulation (and in once instance repackaging) of her already great product is AWESOME. So what’s the difference between this and others? Number one is texture. This is creamy & smooth for easier application. Concealers that actually cover tend to be dry feeling. Next, coverage….this is concentrated and will give medium-to-full coverage. A little goes a long way too, emollients will help maintain skin’s moisture levels for a smoother, virtually lineless look. Lecithin conditions skin, vitamins C & E offer antioxidant benefits. Silica creates a soft-focus effect that helps soften the look of fine dry lines. Kaolin, a natural mineral, helps formula stay in place and prevents it from settling into lines. The corrector is peach based and will brighten & neutralize the dark circles and the yellow based one will lighten and blend. So basically, this does the job of brightening and concealing without looking cake-y or makeup-ey. SOLD!
