Hey all! I have a really great initiative to share with you, Johnson’s Baby Cares. I am a huge fan of the Johnson’s Baby brand and have used the products all my life. When Tyler was a baby, I regularly used the bedtime formula (I use it now for MYSELF lol). The brand has such a rich history and has always been a part of my life, which is why I agreed to become a part of the Johnson’s Baby Cares Council.

In addition to having access to new products and the latest information about the Johnson’s Baby brand first, I will also be learning more about and take part in the new charitable platform and partnership Johnson Baby Cares just launched with global children’s humanitarian organization Save the Children. Together they will work along side with new mom, Hilary Duff.

As part of the brand’s commitment to the healthy development of babies and their mission to support and respond to the greater needs of families worldwide.

After discovering that 90 percent of U.S. children live in areas at risk of natural disasters, the brand decided to kick off the JOHNSON’S® BABY CARES platform with a Save the Children partnership, which will help provide essential resources to respond to families in times of crisis, while also providing ongoing support for the critical issues surrounding maternal and children’s health.

Hilary Duff, actress, recording artist and most recently and importantly new mom, has also partnered with JOHNSON’S® BABY to assist with one of the first JOHNSON’S® BABY CARES program initiatives — the assembly, donation and distribution of thousands of JOHNSON’S® Baby “Care Kits” — which will provide families with baby care essentials immediately during and after disasters.

The Rundown:

By purchasing any JOHNSON’S® Baby product at retail stores with a $0.50 cent coupon between April 15, 2012 and June 10, 2012, JOHNSON’S® Baby will donate $0.25 cents to Save the Children.
Throughout the rest of the year, JOHNSON’S® Baby will communicate additional ways consumers can continue to get involved.

I’m VERY excited about this program and being able to participate in something that has ties to charitable donations and helping others.

Happy 6th Blogiversary/Anniversary to TMG!!

Oh my…oh my…oh my GOODNESS. I cannot believe the places I have been in 6 years! It seems like only yesterday that I started this little blog. There have been so many rewarding experiences and I am so grateful for that 100%. For those of you that don’t know, I started my blog while I was working in a cubicle at a job that I was pretty good at but that I didn’t really like all that much.

Since then, I have covered 12 seasons of New York Fashion Week I have made on air network television appearances, This past year I got to develop an eyeshadow for MAC Cosmetics, AND I became a brand ambassador for Avon. I have met TRUE FRIENDS that I love and care about, had amazing experiences, business opportunities, all because of TMG. I am in awe and humbled by how many of you actually read what I write and care what I have to say! It’s a true joy for me to be able to bring you what I feel are the latest and greatest in beauty to your computer screen everyday. I feel like reaching an audience in this way is so much more rewarding (for me and you) because I feel like I am just sitting down talking with you. If you ever meet me, you will realize that I am a hugger, and I have met readers and done just that HUG! I am so thankful for you that you let me into your life everyday! I also hope that I can continue to be a source of advice and encourage all of you to achieve your personal beauty goals whatever they may be!

There are very few products that just really knock my socks off. You know I love skincare and ESPECIALLY skincare with science…so it’s no shock that I love peels. Bliss That’s Incredi-Peel! ($49 for 30 single-use pads) is nothing short of amazing. These are pre-measured single-step, no-rinse pads, saturated with innovative technology that gradually releases powerful levels of exfoliating glycolic acid throughout the night. You get serious skin renewal without the harsh irritation (it’s like an overnight glycolic facial with a built in buffer!!) Summer 2012: NARS Makeup Collection…

Summer is nearly here (at least the summer collections are!!) This is one of the first to hit my desk and I love the bronzey, apricot, grape and plum of it all. The Summer 2012 campaign was designed and photographed by NARS Founder and Creative Director François Nars. Once again, the inimitable Ginta Lapina personifies the look you see here.

To begin, St. Moritz Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer SPF30/PA+++ was applied to the center of the face with the fingertips and blended outward, then set with Eden Loose Powder to create an immaculate complexion. To lend the skin a light bronzed look, Laguna Bronzer was dusted onto the face in the shape of a ‘3’, starting at the forehead, swept on to the cheek, and then along the jawline. The apples of the cheeks were warmed with Liberté Blush and the face further defined by softly dusting Taos Blush along the hairline.

A mixture of the silver and icy peach shades of Ramatuelle Trio Eyeshadow were brushed onto the lid and blended up into the crease. The apricot shade of the Trio was added in to the crease, with the silver shade swept along the lower lash line. The upper and lower lids were lined with Via Veneto Larger Than Life® Long-Wear Eyeliner. After curling the lashes with an eyelash curler, two coats of Larger Than Life Volumizing Mascara were brushed on to the lashes.

Finally, the lips were lined and filled with Borneo Lip Liner Pencil—blending with a finger to soften the color. Moscow Pure Matte Lipstick was applied, then topped with Risky Business Lip Gloss for shine.
