Celebrity Beauty: Julia Roberts Wears Lancôme to the Mirror Mirror Premiere…

Lancôme ambassadress Julia Roberts sparkled at the premiere of her new film Mirror Mirror in Los Angeles on Saturday. Julia always looks great and Lancôme makeup artist Genevieve played up her stunning features with a gorgeous, yet simple look. All products available at lancome-usa.com.

Since the event was in the morning, makeup artist Genevieve wanted to create a “very soft eyewash,” she says. First, she applied Liner Design in Indigo Darling close to the lash line on the upper lid. Next she placed the light shimmer shadow from Color Design Quad in Twirling in Tulle on the inner corner and the dark matte plum shade on the lid, followed by careful blending of the two shades. A few coats of Définicils mascara, applied to both the top and bottom lashes, completed Julia’s pretty daytime look.

Genevieve used Blush Subtil in Miel Glace for a subtle touch of color on the cheeks. Rouge in Love Lipstick in Lasting Kiss accentuated Julia’s infamous smile.

I love it when girls show up to the Red Carpet looking effortlessly beautiful, which is exactly what Mila Kunis achieved for the Friends With Benefits premiere last night. Celebrity makeup artist Tracey Levy had a vision of screen siren Gina Lollobrigida en route from a summer beach holiday when creating Mila’s premiere look. Translation: bronzed skin, eyes that popped (complete with extreme lashes) and muted lips. All products by Lancôme.

Fashion Week: Get the Look – Lancome at Chris Benz MBFW S/S 2011…

Designer Chris Benz tapped into an American-girl-in-Paris mode (circa the late 1960’s) for his spring collection this week. The presentation, held in the David Rubenstein Atrium at Lincoln Center, featured models standing against a video screen on which the cult Claude Lelouch “C’était un Rendezvous” short film was screened. The clothes were a medley of colors and fabrics; mahogany and navy were counterbalanced with graphic white, citron yellow, cerulean blue and honey. Textures were woven painterly patterns of fuchsia, tangerine and taupe, evoking a blurred glimpse of a beautiful girl buzzing by on a Vespa.

The makeup, by Daniel Martin, continued on the youthfully sophisticated theme. Chris and Daniel looked to the French singer Frances Gall, the pop princess from the 1960s, for inspiration. To start, Daniel applied the pale lavender shade from Lancôme’s new spring palette, Color Design Minérale Eye Shadow Quad in Cool Lavande, along the lid and up to the crease. Next, he applied a straight line of Artliner in Noir from the inner corner to the end of the lashline. (Daniel refrained from creating a “retro cat eye.”) The inner eyes were rimmed with black eyeliner.

Tiny dots of Artliner, contained close to the bottom lashline, were Daniel’s nod to French whimsy. “From a distance it looks like a fuller lash,” explained Daniel, “but up close it’s just cool.” Finally, top and bottom lashes were coated with several coats of Hypnôse Drama Mascara.

The skin was kept “medium bodied—not too dewy or matte,” said Daniel, with Teint Miracle Lit-from-Within foundation. Blush Subtil in Mauve Coquette was used to softly contour the models’ faces. Lancôme’s new spring lipstick, the lilac-pink L’Absolu Rouge in Lily Rose, was swiped lightly on lips.

The bright purple nail polish was Lancôme’s new Violet Groove; nails were manicured by Lisa Logan. Lisa called the shade “a true, one-coat color.” The side-parted, undone bun, by John Ruidant for Redken, completed the look.

Celebrity Beauty: Julia Roberts at the “Eat, Pray, Love” Premiere…

Lancôme Ambassadress Julia Roberts looked stunning at the Eat, Pray, Love premiere. I think it’s supercool that there are fab celebs (and women in general!) over 40 popping up everywhere! Her red carpet makeup look was created by celebrity makeup artist Genevieve Herr who channeled a chic and modern look that played up Julia’s light brown eyes and her sleek black ensemble (she wore shorts!).

The Rundown:

For a natural complexion, Genevieve used the new Teint Miracle Foundation, an amazing radiance-boosting foundation (launching next month), Laura Mercier Secret Concealer and Secret Brightening Powder followed by a cream blush in plum on the apples of the cheeks. She wanted to give Julia soft, smoky eyes with a mix of blacks and plums.

To achieve this, she first applied Le Crayon Khôl in Black Ebony to line the eyes and then blended shadows from our new fall French Coquettes collection called the French Touch Color Design Quad. Her lashes were topped with Définicils Precious Cells Mascara in Black for a full, natural lash. She finished the look with a neutral lip using Le Lipstique Lip Liner in Sheer Natural, Color Design Lipstick in Love It! and a touch of Juicy Tubes in Spring Fling for the perfect photo-ready pout.

Oh Lancôme…..why oh why must you do this to me? My favorite makeup look ever is the “french girl” and this collection nails it to a “T” The subtle shimmer ion the inner corners of the eyes….the nude and dark lips. It’s all very divine and I cannot wait to try everything!

Celebrity Beauty: Taraji P. Henson Wears Lancome on the BET Awards Red Carpet…

Did you watch the BET Awards last night? I did, and surprisingly the ick factor was extremely low! It was actually a pretty good show! Hostess, Queen Latifah looked amazing and the glamour quotient was sky-high. Presenter Taraji P. Henson was leading the pack in that regard….looking stunning as ever with the help of Lancome and celebrity makeup artist Mylah Morales. Mylah also primped Taraji for the awards after-party, co-hosted with P. Diddy, which called for a makeup change. The look for the awards, Mylah told us, centered around gorgeous skin, pale lips, a neutral eye palette and loads of mascara.

Get The Look: Demi Moore at the 82nd Annual Academy Awards…

These older ladies are giving the young girls a run for their money! Demi Moore was a complete vision at the Academy Awards, from her dusty rose Versace gown to her easy updo and her softly dramatic makeup. Celebrity makeup artist Jo Strettell did the beauty honors for the always-stunning Demi.

The Rundown:

Jo mixed two foundations for Demi, Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation and Lasting Silk UV SPF 34 Compact Foundation [Giorgio Armani Beauty]
She then swept YSL Touche Éclat under the eyes and around the nose. [YSL at Nordstrom]
Lancôme’s Blush Subtil in Rose Fresque, just on the apples of the cheeks, brightened her complexion. [Lancome]
